Fender chop using OEM DRL

Is there a way to chop the fenders and retain the OEM lights up front while keeping the fender secure? I actually like the look of the OEM's and the lead time for the AAL's right now is just ridiculous. I have also heard the current light they are sourcing is not as good from a quality standpoint as there initial vendor that apparently went out of business. I know there are others out there making them but I want to see if I can do something a little different. I saw one picture in the JL forum but no details on how it was done.

I’m not sure if there is an off the shelf kit but it wouldn’t be hard to fabricate a bracket to support. I’ve thought of doing the same thing with mine as I would like to retain the OEM lights.

The concept is just a small metal “shelf” to sit under the light and hold it in place.

not without some fab work. what’s important here is that the support bracket is really a support bracket and holds the fender in place. I was going down the Highway at a relatively high speed in strong cross winds and it blew out my fender but it was held by the quake LED bracket and I was able to stop and pop it back in and continue at a more modest and appropriate speed. point being the front fender is susceptible to crosswinds and you don’t want it to get completely ripped off. I am actually thinking about putting OEM fenders back on since I don’t need the extra clearance

I don't know if you've already done this, but YES. There is. I did it last night and I retained all of the OEM Mounting points and the OE DRL's.
Just make sure you leave the structure that bolts into the underside of the fender and it will retain all of it's original integrity.

I took out the inner fender liner and replaced it with a rugged ridge plastic insert meant to go with a fender repalcement/chop kit. It opens up the inside of the fender but leaves a stock appearance from the exterior. Allowed me to fit a 38" in there

After wheeling it and ripping the DRL's out of the fender, I've now moved to the Quake LED fender chop Sequential DRL's.
No issues since.

I’ll be interested in what you come up with. I like my Oem led fender lights as well.
