Fender Chop Question

So I started my fender chop today after watching a ton of videos and doing a bunch of research. My AAL fender liners should arrive tomorrow. After prepping the driver side rear fender I realized that this piece of body is no longer covered.

do I cut that piece from the line down? Thanks for help and suggestions.

First off, thanks for the business!!!

That's the way they have always been. If someone chooses to keep the outer black trim on the flares, that's where it connects. We do not cut that part off when we install them. No benefit other than aesthetics.

Thank you for the response I can’t wait to get it all installed. I currently have a different brand of lights sitting here for the front chop. But after running across your tinted dd collaboration I think I would rather go that route. If I ordered today how long would you guesstimate shipping to take. Thanks again.

I cut and removed it including the black trim pc. this also allows for more clearance. pic is before new rear bumper.
