Hi there. I have new 2022 rubicon and only put little over 2k miles on it. When I first bought it I would every once in a while hear this whistling noise when engine would be idling then it would eventually go away. Noise comes from dash area. Then right before it stops it sounds like a vacuum...
Good to know. Thank you for all the information. Should the engine ticking go away as miles get put on it or is it just part of the engine sound when running?
Hi there. Just bought new 2022 gladiator rubicon. Only 600 miles and I noticed a weird rattle sound inside cab and then I noticed engine ticking sound especially loud with hood open. Is this normal?
Thank you for sharing MemphisMississipp. Frontal area of my TT is 56 sq ft. I believe JTR and JTM are both spec'd for 55 sq ft. I've been watching videos of those towing their 6500 lb 26' TT with JTM and another with their JTR with 2" lift with 35's across 1100 miles with not to much of an issue...
Good to hear you didn’t have any issues towing. It’s helpful to hear the experiences those are having with towing. Like I said I tow furthest 200 miles 3 times a year with 4800 lb (dry weight) TT to Maine and NH. Definitely don’t max out TT weight since it’s just the two of us. Do you think a...
I know I would miss the power of the Raptor but thats about it. I load up bed with some firewood, small fridge, corn hole board, water and of course a cooler full of beer. I think I could make that all fit in the JT bed. If not, then I will get rid of the water. Got my priorities.
Right!!! Really liking the Gobi color BTW! Question: Does the Rubicon JT have the same width axles as the Sport Max Tow? Can you add 35 inch tires to Rubicon without a lift and not effecting towing capacity too much as opposed to adding 35inch tires to Sport with max tow? Sorry if this has...
Here is my current set up. Only 25,000 miles on Raptor so I think I could get decent trade in. Like I mentioned Probably 2000 miles on camper so I’m basically keeping Raptor to tow camper 3 times per year. Loved the Raptor but love Jeeps even more.
If I did decide to get smaller trailer what max weight would you suggest if I decided to get with Sort JT with max tow or Rubicon JT? OHenry014 that is generous of you to offer. Might take you up on that offer (if we decide not to get smaller camper)because that would be ideal to test it out. Of...
All great advice and points to consider. Much apprieciated! The Raptor is fun with many offroad capapbilities (of course no desert running here in the Northeast) so maybe save $$$ for an older Jeep that can I can play with on the weekends. February is the big camping show. After a couple of...
Thank you for sharing your photos and experience towing with your JT max tow. Did you add anything such as air bags to lessen any squatting? Great pics of your JT and TT. The toughest part for me is I only tow TT 3 - 5 times per year so it's hard justifying keeping the raptor just for towing...
Here are the specs of TT: Height = 10' Width = 8'. I appreciate your responses. Sounds like I either will have to downsize TT or save up some $$$ to buy an older jeep for some weekend fun. Thank you all for your responses. Always helpful. Maybe I can can convince my wife (after a couple of...
Hi there. I'm new to forum but not new to owning Jeeps. I currently own a 2019 Ford Raptor SCAB. I currently tow a Riverside Retro Camper 27' 10" long with dry weight of 4800 pounds. The farthest we tow TT is 150 - 200 miles. I live in the Northeast. I'm really missing owning and driving a Jeep...
