The parts world is crazy right now. I used to think global supply chain issues was bs, it isn’t.
It took me a year to get a 24vdc power supply for a customer. Even then, I checked online, saw the company had it in stock, then bitched to the my supplier. At first he said “it’s at another...
Your crimp on the negative terminal was definitely the issue. That wire didn’t evaporate or melt, you’d see it if it did. It probably had good enough contact for a while and then came loose. I’ve seen it happen. It amazes me that ARB doesn’t include terminals in their $600 compressor. I just...
you better put that back or your bumper or fog lights might fall off!
ETA: I used to work on vehicles with my buddy, I’m a jokester. I liked to drop “extra” parts on something he took apart, and then watch him go nuts trying to figure out where it went as he put it back together. Learned that...
Hooks are easy, but shackle points are safer, IMO. But, with said, I’m surprised nobody has come up with a replacement hook, that’s both a hook and has a hole for a shackle. Best of both worlds.
Those don't exactly "replace" the front hooks, they're in addition to, as the front hooks remain. I envisioned a product that required removing/replacing the front hooks with something that had a hole for a shackle, hence my ask. But, thanks.
I know I’ve seen it in a post, but can’t find it. The M12x1.75 bolts supplied with the Badlands Apex are 40mm long, I’m thinking maybe 65mm is what I need.
What length bolt did you end up using?
Rubicon steel bumper
Badlands Apex 12k winch
Warn plate (101255)
Thanks!
Antiseize works great on breech plugs, as well as suppressor threads. It can withstand high temperatures. I bet that breech plug grease has similar properties.
It’s a long lasting lubricant, and prevents corrosion to make disassembly easier. Granted, any part that is lubricated and exposed will attract dust/debris. But the pins are fairly protected, so it’s a good choice IMO
Word to the wise, a little goes a long way, but it’s good for a couple of...
Agreed, that is not something to take lightly.
That’s the problem with devices like this, they can cause problems. When they work, they can work great. But they can also cause serious issues.
probably have to recover again and reload the latest. But, that’s a scary situation with the PS, not sure if I’d trust it.
Was there a specific feature you wanted to use on it?
Maybe, recover, update and install but then don’t change any settings.
Did you update the firmware version before you installed it?
Or
Which version are you on now?
If those codes don’t occur with the Tazer disconnected, and you’re not having any issues now….. I think it’s pretty safe to assume the Tazer has something to do with it.
