Has anyone had an issue with the front dash speakers blowing repeatedly? I have had a couple pairs of KFC-X3Cs in there and both times, the speakers ended up sounding like there was a bag of rocks shaking around in there on the bass notes. The first set of speakers worked well for several...
That seems to be the cleanest way to go. PAC also has a harness and LOC that you can buy separately, that I was looking at too. Idk what the difference is between the harness/LOC and amppro
What are my options for adding a second amp to power dash and soundbar speakers?
I've already set up a mono amp behind the driver side passenger seat to power a Fox Box and 10" sub (used an lc2i and tapped sound bar speaker wires) and that's worked great for the past several months.
But I...
Turns out this is a CarPlay issue. Was on to my third set of speakers (this time infinity reference) and was still getting the rattle even at low volume. The rattling goes away when using Bluetooth or the regular USB connection. Guess I’ll get CarPlay looked at while under warranty
Well I do enjoy some metal on a regular basis lol, but I listen to a lot of different stuff and never really have the system cranked much past 17 or 18. The Kickers also had the scratching/rattling immediately after plugging them in so I’m wondering if I fried some wiring or something with the...
I have a 2020 Sport (7”, non-Alpine) and have been running the following setup since October 2023:
- Fox Acoustics box with 10” Memphis sub under the rear seat
- the box is powered by a 500W RF mono amp, tapped into the soundbar speakers and using a LOC
- stock knee panel speakers
- dash and...
The AmpPro looks awesome but couldn’t justify the $$. The LOC wasn’t too difficult to tie into the soundbar speakers (even for an audio noob like me)
Just installed an amp and LC2i pro this past week and followed this video almost exclusively
the grommet is shown in the vid - it’s under the driver side dash on the upper left side. I brought my power wire in there and ran it back behind the rear seat.
that video is super helpful and very...
Anyone with the base system put the alpine soundbar in from the premium audio group? Guy nearby is selling the stock alpine soundbar, knee speakers and sub for a pretty good price. Don’t need the sub because I have a fox box and 10” sun ready to be hooked up to an amp, but wondered if it’d be...
Yeah I'm sure that's the best setup. Just can't find much info on the process for that in the Gladiator. I know I could always have it professionally done but I feel like you can learn how to do most things with enough research and YouTube videos nowadays.
Gotcha, I kinda wondered if that might be where I end up as well. Just don't see much out there about a 5 channel amp setup. Hearing that, I wonder if a good happy medium would be to go to 6.5s in the soundbar and add the sub with a LOC off the soundbar speakers. I think the highs are fine...
I have a 2020 Sport, 7" touchscreen and non-premium audio. Wanted to upgrade the sound - nothing crazy, but definitely boost the bass and improve the sound quality from the speakers.
I scored a good deal on a set of 4 Kenwood KFC-X3Cs, which I've already installed in the dash and soundbar...
The front 2.0s were coilovers on the Ram. either way, was kinda immaterial to my actual question lol, simply illustrating that I liked the type of ride and the small stance adjustment that I got from the 2.0s.
I just wanted to clarify if they used any other kind of spring or just used the...
as I said, the Fox 2.0s I had were on a previous vehicle - a Ram 1500 - and if you want to get technical sure, it was the package of 2.0s and springs that I put on in the process of ditching the factory air ride that leveled it out. My point is that I’m looking to do something similar with my...
Just re-used the stock springs then and swapped shocks out? I’m weighing options for a similar setup. I had Fox 2.0s that simply leveled out the stance on my previous vehicle, and would like to run 33s with a nicer quality shock like the Fox ones on my Gladiator.
