High current solid state relays generate enough heat when "ON" that they can require a heat sink. Low current ones still generate heat but usually don't need a heat sink. Very low current loads may not turn "OFF" without the addition of a pull down resistor.

If you have a soft top on your Gladiator some of the fiberglass caps interfere with the Gladiator roof. You have more cap options if your Gladiator has a hard top.

We bought an Alu-Cab and are very happy. Chose it over the RSI because it was lighter and came fully assembled. Fewer points of possible leakage. Note that if you have a Gladiator with a soft top many caps will not fit on your truck. Both the RSI and the Alu-Cab will fit.

High quality capacitors should not degrade, at least over the typical life of a Jeep. It might be a good way to side step the need for auxillary battery replacement every few years.
