Switching from a metal end tab to a plastic one because Bestop believes it provides better fitment and reduces looseness is a wild statement. You just know it was switched to plastic because it saves money. Just wild.
Thank you for looking this up. It explains everything. Bestop isn’t autonomous, and probably can’t do anything to help customers out. Their owners require profit over all else.
I assume Jeep is Bestop’s biggest customer… e.g. the factory soft tops. They probably take priority of their resources, which is sad. If Bestop just had a couple of people dedicated to customer relations, imagine the loyalty we could have. But, instead, I look at all other aftermarket options...
This reminds me of the second issue I had recently with Bestop. I bought the sunrider sunscreen attachment, and had a big issue. The screws that came with the sunscreen were too short. I couldn’t use the lock washers with the brackets. I emailed them that they must have supplied the...
I sent Bestop photos comparing their website inaccuracies to what I received. They didn’t care. However, looks like Bestop has finally removed all but 1 exterior photo from the website, so you can’t see the design differences. So, instead of showing the actual design, they just left 1 photo...
I can confirm that everything above is accurate about the re-design. I had the exact same complaint about the storage option being removed, along with the lock that keeps the bows from moving, and received the same nonchalant response. I brought up the photos on the super top site that still...
Have you been to the Jeep clutch recall Facebook group? The software installed as part of the recall gives so many people issues. If you can’t take it to Hawaii with an open recall, just sell it. It’s worth more without the 19A software update, in my opinion.
I want to love this product. That’s why I’m hating on the look. I hope they do well and offer additional versions in the future, like a solid black version with maybe one logo.
I hope they provide 10 extra stickers in the box so we can place them on the top, bottom, and both sides of all windows… to make absolutely sure the windows are installed correctly. Can’t be too sure now.
The fact that you think it’s funny about having so many brand logos is troubling. A good product doesn’t need 7 or 8 separate logos on their product in order for it sell well, you need an actual good product with word of mouth reputation. I genuinely think this is an interesting product, but...
