Don’t have this done!!!! I beg of you!!! We have been dealing with a service transmission/ clutch temperature light/ truck has reduced power and won’t go over 50 mph since I bought my 22 JTM last August.
The truck had never been sold and I found at a dealer 3 hours from me, they actually had 2. They were part of the recall and being that they were never sold fell to the back of the line for recall parts.
They became available 3 months after buying my 24 sport and I decided to trade mine in on one.
First trip we took at the end of August was to the Seven Hour Plane Crash trail in the UP. It was a great get to know you trip and we had a blast, until we put it in 4 low. Service transmission light came on after about 3 minutes of driving around in some gravel. Fortunately it did not get to the reduced power stage.
Took it to the local dealer and they could not figure it out. Started a Star case, reset the EPROM and sent me in my way.
I bought a J scan to have the ability to do this so we didn’t get stuck hours away home and unable to drive over 50 mph.
To make an already long story shorter, on our last 2 trips we have had to reset the EPROM 6 times, got stuck on a hill due to reduced power mode and had to drive 20 + minutes to find cell service to reset the light to regain full power.
Took it to a second local dealer and they showed me bulletin S2521000001, dated February 2025.
Jeep is aware or the problem, but has no fix.
Gets worse from there. After spending 4+ hours on the phone with Jeep cares, BS, and Jeep Wave, even bigger BS, I have gotten absolutely nowhere.
Drove the truck 3 hours back to the selling dealer and there she sits.
We are trying to get a new computer and flash it back to the pre 17A calibration. I have also reached out to Livernois to see if this is removed when they do their breaking of the PCM.
