Don’t have this done!!!! I beg of you!!! We have been dealing with a service transmission/ clutch temperature light/ truck has reduced power and won’t go over 50 mph since I bought my 22 JTM last August.
The truck had never been sold and I found at a dealer 3 hours from me, they actually had 2. They were part of the recall and being that they were never sold fell to the back of the line for recall parts.
They became available 3 months after buying my 24 sport and I decided to trade mine in on one.
First trip we took at the end of August was to the Seven Hour Plane Crash trail in the UP. It was a great get to know you trip and we had a blast, until we put it in 4 low. Service transmission light came on after about 3 minutes of driving around in some gravel. Fortunately it did not get to the reduced power stage.
Took it to the local dealer and they could not figure it out. Started a Star case, reset the EPROM and sent me in my way.
I bought a J scan to have the ability to do this so we didn’t get stuck hours away home and unable to drive over 50 mph.
To make an already long story shorter, on our last 2 trips we have had to reset the EPROM 6 times, got stuck on a hill due to reduced power mode and had to drive 20 + minutes to find cell service to reset the light to regain full power.
Took it to a second local dealer and they showed me bulletin S2521000001, dated February 2025.
Jeep is aware or the problem, but has no fix.
Gets worse from there. After spending 4+ hours on the phone with Jeep cares, BS, and Jeep Wave, even bigger BS, I have gotten absolutely nowhere.
Drove the truck 3 hours back to the selling dealer and there she sits.
We are trying to get a new computer and flash it back to the pre 17A calibration. I have also reached out to Livernois to see if this is removed when they do their breaking of the PCM.

I took my truck into the dealership today for the 19A recall. The dealership told me they wouldn’t do the recall because I have regeared (Dana spicer 4.88s which are in the mopar performance catalog) and had a tazer.

I already have a centerforce clutch, which JEEP actually reimbursed me for, but I am in the military and can’t have an open recall on my vehicle when they ship it to Hawaii.

Has anyone else ever had a dealer NOT do a recall because of modifications.
Hi @jc1986,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Should you need extra support alongside the dealership, please send us a private message with your VIN.

Have you been to the Jeep clutch recall Facebook group? The software installed as part of the recall gives so many people issues. If you can’t take it to Hawaii with an open recall, just sell it. It’s worth more without the 19A software update, in my opinion.

I knew the software update was a big issue with this recall.

I wouldn’t sale. I would just leave it in the stateside with my parents if I couldn’t ship. I am kind of emotionally attached to this vehicle. I might do a 5.7/auto swap when I get back anyways.

Wish I had known about the service bulletin before I went deer hunting. This year our regular hunt camp was on fire, so we decided to hunt outside Twisp, WA. in Okanogan county.
The first day was spent exploring the area and getting familiar with the Forest Service roads. At the end of the morning hunt, I shifted the transfer case into 4 low and got the SERVICE TRANSMISSION warning along with the Auto Start/Stop UNAVAILABLE. Once I got to pavement, I went back to 4 high and shut the engine down. Upon restart, the Auto Stop/Start light disappeared, but the S T warning remained. Soon after driving away, I noticed there was no throttle response. So I limped into Twisp, and due to it being a Saturday afternoon, I had to wait until Monday to contact the dealer in Omak. On Monday, I had it towed to the nearest dealer at a cost of $666.44. Omak Jeep couldn't look at it until Friday, but when they did, they replicated the problem in the Service Bulletin. They also found a leaking engine oil cooler, which they had to order parts for. Now it's scheduled for repair next Friday once the part arrives. I was told once I do get my Gladiator back, that I won't be able to shift into 4 -wheel drive until Jeep comes up with a solution to the problem they created.
To make matters worse, we were in a dead zone for the majority of the deer season, and I had to rely on others in my group to take me 11 miles to town for cell service.
I'm home in Seattle now, working on getting reimbursed the $666.44 for towing, and Stellantis to provide me with a rental car so I can drive the 4.5 hours to pick up my truck when done.

Since I last posted, things have taken a turn for the worse.
I received a call on 10/24/25 stating my vehicle was done and I could pick it up.
On 10/27/25 I received a second call telling me my vehicle was done and I could pick it up.
On 10/13/25 The conversation I had when it was towed to Omak from Twisp, was that the SERVICE TRANSMISSION warning came on when I placed my Mojave in 4-wheel low, and the vehicle went into limp mode. The service department couldn't look at it until 10/17/25, at which time I was told that in addition to the code, my engine oil cooler was leaking, and a part needed to be ordered for a repair on 10/24/25. I was also told that the code was cleared and I could drive the vehicle as long as I didn't shift into 4-wheel drive until the factory has a fix for the current service bulletin.
Today, 10/28/25, I secured a ride from a friend for the 226 mile, 5-hour drive from Seattle to Omak. Upon driving away, I noticed the Jeep was still in limp mode and the SERVICE TRANSMISSION warning was still illuminated. When I returned to the dealership, the service writer told me that she thought I could limp it back to Seattle, over the pass. This is ridiculous, considering I had to have it towed 30 miles over Loup Loup Pass just to get it looked at.
So now my Jeep is still in Omak with an issue that was caused by a recall performed by Jeep of Seattle. I'm now home in Seattle.
I don't have a rental/loaner vehicle (this is looking like it's going to be a long term issue) and my Stellantis rep won't return my call, as the guy I spoke with stated he couldn't help me, then sent me to Marks voice mail.
And the icing on the cake, I just checked the reimbursement status of my tow bill from Twisp to Omak for $666.44, they will only reimburse $100. I'm an unemployed disabled veteran with a very small fixed income, and can't afford the tow bill, gas to and from Omak (($85.00), and any future expenses. Not to mention the stress and having to cancel medical appointments while I try to sort this out.

That is pretty bad, sorry to hear you going through this kind of crap.

I can tell you from past experience, they are not going to care about any extraneous circumstances you may have and they have language in their warranty stipulations that will not cover any external out of pocket expenses that arise from such issues.

Sounds more like a civil case with the dealer. They lied to you about your Jeep being ready. I would be on the phone with them to work something out.

I'm sorry that you have to go through this.
