  1. Gladiator hoods aluminum or steel?

I was going to put KC cyclone lights under the hood using magnets. I found out the hard way the Rubicon hood was aluminum and of course they didn’t stick as intended. I can still stick them temporarily in parts of the hood, but now I have to find another way to mount them or keep them in place.
  2. Power Sliding Rear Window - It's possible!

I would like to add this and use an aux button. I’m surprised nobody sells a kit. Some companies even have power window kids for Jeeps without power windows. One would think this would be easy to configure for a small, light window.
  3. Warn winch install questions

Does the brush guard black your trail cam? Are you going to get a relocation kit for the cam? I am thinking about doing this and adding lights.
  4. Warn winch install questions

Mine didn’t come with the fairlead plate and I didn’t want to purchase one, so I just cut holes on the plastic blank and it looks pretty decent. I guess the air dam is trash?
  5. Installing Warn winch and winch plate in Gladiator steel bumper

I know this is an old thread, but did anybody try to put a different air dam or modify the original? I do t really like the gap with the wires and light plug exposed. How about the winch wiring?
  6. Tint clear soft windows

I attempted to tink my JK windows and nothing seemed to work. I ended up getting them on line and tinting my glass windows. It was about 600$ total. I’m not sure where you are getting 1200$. I got a one year entire old soft top for 750 on marketplace. Quadrateck has the back window for 428$...
  7. Just went down a size 33 to 32…..who does that

You will probably see better gas milage. I went from 29’s or whatever the stock size was on my wrangler to 33’s and saw a significant decline in highway milage and a slight decline in city mpg. Part of the issue was the crap gearing on stock Wranglers, but one of the very few advantages of...
  8. What are your favorite cheap addons/accessories that are must haves or make your Gladiator better?

I got a bin for the gear shifter console. Great for knives, handguns or sunglasses. The roll up bed cover was pretty cheap and very practical. At 2x8 and 2x4 piece of wood for the bed if I have drywall. The 2x8 is also useful so stuff doesn’t roll around back there and easy access. I like...
  9. Wasted Warranty

Extended warranties and time shares. Two of the biggest legal scams. I got a free extended warranty, but I don’t know if I will ever use it. They have lots of deductibles and wording to keep them from paying. My advice is save the save for repairs.
  10. 5k mile oil changes in spite of oil life indicator still showing plenty left

There are still people that think the 3k interval is still the correct intervals. The manual clearly says 10k with normal use. If you want a definite answer to give you piece of mind, send samples in at 5, 7.5 and 10k intervals. I go between 5-10 because I do all my cars at once and this is...
  11. Just got the latest in Winch technology

I used to have a two wheel drive truck and regular cars and this got me out of a lot of bad situations, but there isn’t much cable. Print extra chain or a tow strap. I will install a winch in my bumper, but my navigator has one of these.
  12. low oil message 2k miles after oil change

I concur with people here. Check your oil and make sure it looks relatively new, it’s full and no leaks. Typically the dealer puts a sticker in the windshield and records the oil change in the dealership computer somewhere. I would ask them the last time they changed your oil and pretend you...
  13. WINCH AND MOUNTING PLATE

I got a warn Xeon 10 (wire) because of I was concerned with longevity in my area due to heat and light exposure got a plate for around 230. I don’t like the look of the roller fairleads, so I got a Warn Iron fairlead compatible with wire for a cleaner look. I am in Texas, so I had to get a...
  14. Does @Jeep Cares really care?

I had a pretty good experience with them. My start stop wasn’t working when I first got my gladiator and it was talking a couple of weeks to get it repaired and the dealer wouldn’t give me a rental. Jeep wave was able to get them to get the rental (I ended up not using because it works against...
  15. Recess Winch vs Top Mount

The “winch ready” metal factory bumpers really aren’t. You have to spend 2-3 hundred dollars on additional hardware, but they have a clean look and don’t block the trail cam. That is the route I am going.
  16. Rubicon or Mojave takeoffs on Sport?

I actually had Rubicon Gladiator take offs on my JK sport. The were great wheels and tires and I hit them super cheap. I did see a drop in gas milage because I had the tiny 29’s. I really improved the look. The great thing about owning a Gladiator or Wrangler is if you don’t mind stock...
  17. 40 % off Warn Code

I got a 10k eco for 525$ on amazon. I debated returning it and getting the synthetic version if I could get it at a similar price, but I wonder if the Houston heat might degrade the line/cable, but it would be nice having 25 less pounds on my bumper. Decisions.
  18. 40 % off Warn Code

That sucks. The code doesn’t work any more, but the web site is pretty expensive anyway. It seems you can get these on Amazon close to the discounted price.
  19. Is Jeep the Marlin of the American Auto Industry?

Interesting comparison. I have old Marlins. They were cheap and reliable, unlike anything made by Stellantis. Ruger makes decent firearms, but they went cheap and low quality with air rifles and made in China merch. Not great comparisons. Unpopular opinion is the best hope for Jeep would be...
