  1. Who has a 24 and had or traded in a 20 to 23

I would keep what you have. The screen in the previous models are still large and the large screens will probably be available aftermarket at some point. The newer models has the entenna in the windshield. This matters because they will be more expensive to replace. The also don’t have...
  2. 2021+ Gladiator vs Tacoma - Manual Transmission

I had a Tacoma and it was louder, cramped and obviously no soft top. It had a plastic bed that some like, but I thought it felt cheap. My gladiator seems so much nicer. The Tacoma was very reliable and easier to maintain, as is the car in most Toyotas. I honestly don’t miss it. Because they...
  3. Need Help Deciding Which Gladiator

I was in a similar situation when shoping for a Wrangler JKU. I ended up with a base sport. Well, I had shoulder issues and I was also in the military, so the lack of power windows at from gates (some guards were on the right side). Made it a huge pain. I ended up spending 2k and hours of work...
  4. Manual Transmission Discontinued for 2025

I had to do a nation wide search to find my manual Rubi leftover 23 with the options I wanted and still didn’t get the color I wanted and matching fender flares. I will keep this for a while, but I will likely go to a Wrangler after this if auto’s are the only choice. All well. I was probably...
  5. Attention Passengers and Flight Crew, I'm Out

Great choice. Ford makes the most comfortable SUV’s and trucks out there. I have a Navigatir with over 225k, original. If I had space, I would probably have a Wrangler and Ram Truck, but the Gladiator does what I need it to.
  6. What ruined my leather?

The leather in these sometimes “ashes” or dries out a bit, but it seems something abrasive was spilled on there. I had something similar happen and used leather cleaner, then conditioner (Lexol)and I can barely tell it’s there now. You might even try black shoe polish and buff it out if that...
  7. Cell phone mount

I like the one mounted to the passenger grab bar that doubles as a cup holder (although realistically it barely holds a can of coke). I also had one for my Wrangler. I hate magnets. And this of is out of the way. I use uconnect, so the visibility isn’t an issue. It also keeps the cord out of...
  8. Advice on price for new 2023 Gladiator Rubicon

I got a leftover 23 earlier this year that was 49, pretty loaded and sticker 67k and I felt I got screwed, but it has some things that were hard to find. I would say jump on it if you can start the warranty like it’s new.
  9. Front floor plugs?

You can leave the plugs in under the mat and have a slight bulge or put the plugs in the mats as intended. You will notice significant road noise without the plugs. Once my plug came out and it almost sounded like my top was off. These might come in handy in a long traffic jam if you really have...
  10. is it a rubicon without the rubicon sticker across the hood?

Mine has “Rubicon” stitched on the seats. The most obvious clue is look at the buttons on the bottom of the center console. (Not the aux buttons if they have them, but the ones on the left). You can also search the vin and build sheet. Some people remove the stickers. Some people think it’s...
  11. Need some assistance on which year to buy

The thing about Jeep Gladiators (and Wranglers) is people often do bad mods. I typically buy used except Wranglers/Gladiators because of this. I don’t want to mess with bad lifts and wobbling. I would see if you can find a leftover 23 (for warranty purposes). You can probably find a great deal...
  12. Am I just a wussy baby man, or was I smart (or at least cautious?)

I took a bone stock JKU sport to a few 6/10 trails with no issues. I would bring a spotter and if you don’t have a winch, at least bring a comalong and a good chain. Even the cheapest sport Wrangler or Gladiator sport is very capable off road. High clearance and 4 low can go almost anywhere...
  13. What gladiator model to buy

Sport max tow package with auto trans seems to be your best option. They have the highest capacity. These can go up to 35’s with no lift. If you aren’t off roading, it’s pointless to get a higher model, although they come with a few things Sport doesn’t. You can get a loaded sport s max tow...
  14. Gas Mileage?

Mine is a 23 Rubicon manual, under 2k miles. I took a trip to Florida from Houston and consistently got 21.5 on the highway. Unfortunately, I and getting 14.5 in the city. It seems to be 15-17 mixed. My Stock Sport Wrangler JKU got 19 consistently. It seems these 3.6 engines are too small for...
  15. Getting rid of my Gladiator for a Bronco

I hope the Bronco works out. I would probably get a 4Runner and call it a day if reliability is the issue.
  16. Considering selling my 2 door JK for a Gladiator. Do I have realistic expectations?

I came from a JKU soft top to a Rubi hard top Gladiator. The Gladiator doesn’t get blown around as much due to the extra weight. It has more towing capacity but less gas milage and get up and go assuming you get the regular 3.6. With some kind of bed cover, you can hold way more stuff. The soft...
  17. Saw a Rubi steel bumper and sliders for $100, with parksense holes

Jump in it. That’s like a 1k factory option. I live mine. I will add a winch and a bar for CC lights. They really do look the cleanest with a winch compared to after market.
  18. Angry Grill Question

I think angry grills are childish and stupid. Luckily others disagree. You can find dirt cheap OEM grills all over FB marketplace, Craigslist, off road stores and other places. As these Gladiator's get older, there will be more available and cheaper. I’m not sure if Wranglers use the same grill...
  19. Think Im done with Jeep, guys.

I don’t blame you. I am a manual guy; but if I wasn’t, there are some awesome alternatives for half tons and I would go that route. I have a 34 year old Ram Truck that still starts every time, original. Natural Aspirated last decades if you take care of them. I was able to get the best...
  20. Think Im done with Jeep, guys.

That sucks. If you still want a removable top, the Bronco is your only choice, but Ford has issues with difficulty of maintenance and aftermarket . A 4Runner might be the next best thing. They are reliable, but incredibly boring.
