  1. New Wheel Decision - AEV vs. Method

AEV lift installed (with HD springs), Method 703 and BFG 35s. No complaints with on road ride - the new suspension definitely handle the extra weight of the alucab (and hauling take off wheels/tires back home) much better than stock. I haven't had it off road yet, looking forward to a fall trip.
  2. October Moab Trip

Enjoy the trip, it is a beautiful area. I've been mutliple times, but never in my Jeep. I will return in Oct/Nov....mainly for photography in areas near Moab. I am on northside of Indy as well.
  3. New Wheel Decision - AEV vs. Method

Thanks again for the input. I went ahead and ordered the 703's in bronze, +25 offset. I'm waiting for the lift kit to arrive and get installed along with the wheel installation. I'll post pics once complete.
  4. New Wheel Decision - AEV vs. Method

Thanks for the input! I'm leaning toward the 703's in bronze for my black gladiator. The Methods just seem like a better wheel based on specs (I do have an AluCab installed). I'm sure both will be fine though.
  5. New Wheel Decision - AEV vs. Method

I am getting a lift on my Gladiator (AEV with HD springs), and I'm trying to decide what wheels to select. I'm going to 35's by the way. I'm looking at the AEV Salta XR or the Method 703s. Same fitment specs. If I read the other specs correctly, the Methods are 7 lbs lighter per wheel, and...
  6. New Camper need new rear spring suggestions

Thanks! Did you consider the higher capacity springs? Curious as to why you selected the standard capacity springs. I still have my stock suspension with an AluCab and will likely upgrade once I build out my rig a bit more. I'm still reviewing options. Thanks again.
  7. New Camper need new rear spring suggestions

Which AEV KIt do you have?
  8. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

I am spending the summer in the Denali area as a photography guide. I've been up the Dalton a few times over the years. It is a great way to test out the rig....mud, rain, cold, rough roads.... Looking forward to making the interior space more livable now....
  9. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

It's an all too often neglected aftermarket accessory.
  10. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Recently installed Alu-Cab ModCAP tent. First test run up the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe bay. Minimal build out so far (Second battery, single solar panel, awning). No mods to suspension. 4 nights with no issues, love it so far.
  11. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Thanks to all of the inputs so far. It's very helpful to have real user input on these expensive and critical decisions.
  12. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

    Thanks for the input.
  13. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

    Thanks for your input.
  14. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

A few questions that may be scattered across this thread. 1)For those of you with an Alu Cab canopy camper, how many of you recommend and use the Shadow Awning? I am strongly considering a Mod Cap with tent along with the awning. 2) Will my stock suspension be an issue? I am looking at a...
  15. Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Roll Call

Why the regear? Just for the added weight of the Alucab?
  16. New 2023 Gladiator: Road Trip to Alaska

The OVRLND is on my list. How long have you had yours? Any issues? My priorities are weight, ability to configure the inside as well. Wedge style seems less complex vs straight pop up, why was the straight pop up a requirement for you?
  17. New 2023 Gladiator: Road Trip to Alaska

Yes, I have been looking at the different options. No clear cut "best one", they all have trade offs. I'm still considering the options and the tradeoffs for what I need and want.
  18. New 2023 Gladiator: Road Trip to Alaska

This was my fourth trip to Alaska. Once on a motorcycle, twice in the Honda Passport. It is a beautiful drive.
  19. New 2023 Gladiator: Road Trip to Alaska

I wanted to introduce myself as being new to the forums. A few weeks ago I purchased a 2023 Jeep Gladiator and taking advantage of some huge discounts. The Gladiator replaces my 2019 Honda Passport, which was a fine vehicle but obviously not as off road capable as the Gladiator. I am a full...
