New Camper need new rear spring suggestions

Alright guys I just picked up a Topo Toppers camper it weighs about 250-275lbs and I have a 2.5“ rubicon express lift on the jeep currently. Rubicon express no longer makes the kit so I can’t find much info on it but I think the fronts are 2.5” lift springs and the rear are probably 1.5” as my rubicon sits pretty level. After the camper I got about 1/2“ of sag and I’m wanting to get new springs to help support the weight and give me a little lift back. Just looking for feed back on what people are running I don’t want it to be to stiff and I don’t want to run air bags. I was kinda looking at Clayton’s HD springs, Dobinsons, and maybe the AEV standard not there blue heavy load springs. Thanks for any info

Did you verify that weight? Or just going on their claimed weight?

"Too stiff" seems to vary a lot with personal preference. I have the Clayton HDs but a lot more than 275 lbs on the springs, which makes them seem softer on my truck than they would on yours. Plus I don't seem to mind a spring rate that others might think rides like a freight train, as long as it cycles easily to full stuff and full droop. Going to be hard to sort out the various opinions you'll get here because of those variations. If that weight is real though, it's in the same ballpark as GFC. Which is good because they have a much bigger install base than Topo and you can see what's been working for GFC owners

I'm also sitting on Clayton Overland lift 2.5 HD springs. Diesel. Running about 400lbs all day long everyday. Not finished build out yet. Probably around 700lbs total when done. Camper alone is 250lbs.

I have the AEV kit and could not be happier. I have the Alu Cab canopy and a full set of drawers every day. Then when overlanding I have a RTT, Fridge, grill, 270 awning, food, water etc and it still rides great. Even my wife commented on how nice the ride is over the stock Rubicon.

Thanks! Did you consider the higher capacity springs? Curious as to why you selected the standard capacity springs.

I still have my stock suspension with an AluCab and will likely upgrade once I build out my rig a bit more. I'm still reviewing options.

On mine, rear I took out a 3/4” rear spacer and got 3” of true lift on top of that. I took out 1.5” spacer up front and got true 2.5” of lift up front.

They are ultra conservative on there lift spec.

I had factory max tow springs.

Thanks! I’ve got a front bumper and winch and I’m running 2.5” rubicon express springs currently so I may swap them all for the aev I just didn’t want to go to tall where I would possibly need new drive shafts and stuff

I did consider the higher capacity springs but I didn’t feel I needed them and I’m glad I chose the one I have.

It was slightly more when driving around daily but about as said when fully loaded. It is a perfect match with 35 in tires IMHO.
