I'm voting angle. I've been driving various cars, trucks and SUVs for 50+ years. Never had a cracked windshield before, but within a year replaced the windshields on the Jeep and our 2022 Class B that's based on a Ford Transit. Aerodynamically, two bricks!!
24 Mojave X, and the tech has been great. Wireless Carplay is a bonus for sure. After a couple years, about the only thing I have had to do twice was a soft-reset. In one case this was after a software update, and not sure why I needed to in the second case. The soft-reset is easy and no...
It will be interesting to see a description of the inspection they plan. Especially if only a very small percentage actually need repair parts. (Hopefully dealers will only fix those that need fixing, and not just see this as a way to bring in a little extra repair money from corporate.)
So far so good on my JT. But looking at some of the repair threads here, both body and drivetrain, makes me think it's less stress to just trade at the first sign of a major problem. Just kidding. Kind of. Best of luck with your repair!
Thanks for the link, this looks really interesting! Clearly they put a lot of thought into the design. Just interested--you mention the Freedom Panels; what did you use for those? I did not see a mention on the jeepleakfixed website.
I traded my C7 Vette on the Jeep. Between short season, bad roads, etc the Vette ended up being a garage queen. The Jeep is a blast in all weather! That being said, we have a couple other options in the garage:
A 2015 RX350 that has been trouble free for 100K miles, but does have a scratch...
My stock 2024 Mojave has a long term average of 16.9. Drops a lot if I am hitting 75 on the freeway. No complaints, however. Funny, the car I traded for the Jeep had a V8 with 455 HP, and averaged about 22 MPG. I guess aerodynamics matter . . .
I bought this soap for a completely unrelated reason--I wanted a smaller bottle to take along on a trip. Worked fine as a soap, but I was really surprised how it renewed the black plastic on our vehicles. I have dedicated solutions for this, but the soap works amazingly well.
After looking at a LOT of wheels and specs I went with KMC Canyon wheels.
The wheels are 17x8, with an offset of 35mm for a backspace of 5.88. This is really close to the stock Mojave, so no problems at all with fit. I wanted to minimize poke too, as we have messy winters up here and I didn't...
Don't feel bad. I had a car with rear fog light too. Took it in to the dealer because one was not working. Turns out that on some European cars there is only one rear fog light on the drivers side. Felt a little silly, but at least they did not charge me anything!
My first improvement was free--I took out that odd center headrest on the back set. Also I second the addition of an adjustable steering stabilizer--I went with the FOX 2.0 FACTORY SERIES ATS. And, as mentioned above, the Bestop Sunrider is a great addition. More recently I added the...
