Why does Crutchfield state that the REF307F's will not fit the Soundbar? I bought a pair for the dash and would like to add them to the Soundbar also. Is it because new holes are required?
Well, that changes everything!! Was this an option at the time? It looks like on my '23, the previous owner possibly had the bracket, removed it , and the holes were left? Weird.
Yeah. Is the exposed threaded hole not factory?
If you look at the actual tailgate "pin", you can see some paint scraped away. I'm thinking the previous owner removed the tailgate habitually. Unless that happens just from use. Maybe there was a bracket there that was removed?
Last night, I was loading out after a gig (drummer) and opened the tailgate and freaked out when it came out of the slot on the passenger side and was just hanging there. I figured out how to realign and put it back in, but was thinking that something is broken (2023 High Altitude w 20k miles)...
Thanks all.
I guess I'm not used to a tailgate, just need to remember this can happen. Usually all the doors would be frozen also, in this instance they were not, that's why I didn't think of it.
I've had my new '23 Gladiator High Altitude about two weeks or so. Tonight, I arrived at a band rehearsal and went to open the tailgate to grab my drums. Well, we had some rain earlier and then the temps dropped so the tailgate would not open. Eventually I pulled on it enough and it came down...
As stated earlier in this thread, I had a Commander years ago and the leather on that was atrocious. I don't think it was even close to real leather, cracked and tore within a few years. What years was the leather better with Jeep?
I just picked up a '23 High Altitude trim and the leather interior was one reason why I liked it. But, I also had a Commander back in the day and the leather quality in that was terrible, cracked very early. I'm hoping this leather is more durable than it was then!
I just ditched my '18 Discovery Sport after 4 years, and picked up a '23 Gladiator High Altitude. The DS was fine, it had some nice features, but was not a very exciting vehicle to drive. The 9 speed transmission is horrible, I had to have it serviced almost every year, it just could never find...
LOL! That is part of the reason I dig this vehicle, it is what it is, no pretense. I actually really like the way it rides, the physical controls on the dash, the lack of some power features (seats), the wind noise... I feel like I'm driving instead of on auto pilot like some of these vehicles...
Just picked up a '23 High Altitude a week ago with 20k miles, after researching for a long time, a few years actually. Coming from a 2018 LR Discovery Sport. That vehicle was OK, had many issues with transmission, etc....the extended warranty was up in 3k miles, so I got out. My wife says I was...
