New to the Gladiator world, coming from a 2018 Jeep SRT. 2 very different units but definitely loving the change! Back on topic, with my previous SRT I had a Blackvue 900s 2 Channel set up ( front cam + back cam). This set up was powered up using " Blackvue's Power Magic EZ". Its powered up using the OBD2 sensor, you simply plug it in and the dash cam is powered on via ignition & powered off via ignition ( car on = dash cam on & car off = dash cam off ). Worked flawlessly.
Installation in the Glad couldnt have been any easier. However my question is whether or not the OBD2 port in a wrangler/gladiator is always on? I know i've set it up properly, the PM-EZ does have an "on & off" switch for parking. No matter what i do tho (ignition off, i've played with the Glad's setting to turn off instantly once the ignition is cut example: no delay in headlights turning off), the dash cam does not turn off!!
Im thinking that proper off road vehicles such as our Glads have them constantly on for off road activities? I wouldn't know as i've never gone off roading so pardon the very noob idea
