2020 Gladiator Rubicon - buzzing noise behind dash when moving, not engine related

Shop didn't having any answers so hoping you guys can help on this!

Attached video of noise - sounds like a cicada behind the dash that comes on around 5-10 mph and seems to go away above 20-25mph.

End of video while slowing down highlights it best.

It's not engine related as the noise is present even when moving in neutral and reving the engine while still doesn't produce any noise. Control arms and basic suspension components were checked by shop and they didn't find any issues.

It sounds like its coming from behind the dash but it's really hard to tell exactly where. Opening the window doesn't seem to change the noise level.

Any thoughts or ideas what could be causing noise? Thanks so much!

I had a similar noise I swore was behind the drivers dash speaker. Wound up being the fold down windshield attach screws had loosen up to a point the windshield rubber seal was getting air under it and making a buzzing sound. Snugged up all four T40 attach screws and it went away.

Interesting. This one doesn't require any airflow to create noise. It sounds like a belt or something is making the noise. It's tied to wheels making revolutions but not engine

Yeah, disregard what I said earlier. Checked the audio again on a better set of headphones and it sounds almost electronic. No clue what that is.

That definitely sounds rotationally dependent. Something stuck in the wheels? Drive/axle shafts?

@jav_eee That's probably a good idea. I haven't had the drive shaft checked. Happens in regular 2D - could it still be drive shaft related if not driving in 4WD? Any other things you think I should have checked while I'm at it based on noise?

Have you checked ball joints, brake pads and rotors, differentials, transfer case?

Yeah you have a front and rear driveshaft. I’m not too familiar but the front might spin while in 2WD. So probably best to check both. Driveshafts or wheels/hubs is where i'd be looking.
