2020 Rubicon needs new motor

Dealership said it was a “lower engine noise”.
I’d agree that it’s not on the top of the motor and it doesn’t make the noise until I hit about 2500 ramps. Sometimes it’s more noticeable than others.
to me it sounds like an exhaust leak tick or maybe something like an oil pump tick.
I’m waiting to hear back from jeep to see if they are going to cover the motor.
I’ll be getting another opinion too.

Oil pump is a vane type, up front, chain drive.
I've never heard an oil pump tick........... it would be more of a buzz since it turns pretty quickly.
Be careful - engine noises can transfer from front to back, top to bottom.
Lower ends don't "tick". It's a deeper sound.
Not saying that it's not lower end, but lower ends are deeper sounds - because of where they are and the size of the parts making the sound.
You can also change the sound by loading and unloading the engine on lower end sounds.
