ok, so I tried 2 different GPS today. The truck speedo was 1-2 mph faster than the phone gps and onX gps. Mostly 2 mph faster. I just read another article that its "typical" for a vehicle speedo to be a few mph faster than actual speed (apparently speedo in vehicle can be faster, but not slower)

I've given you guys ALL the facts, I'm not saying you are incorrect, but I can only go off the info I have, this is really strange. I do not know how different 2mph is affecting the speedo, but then again, the article is saying that is normal - meaning the actual speed and speedo are on par.

fill your gas tank up, check your miles, then when you fill it back up do the math....

I thought of that, problem is I don't do alot of driving in the truck, if I do -90% it's around town, not a combo around town / highway. I normally only fill 1/2 tank because It takes a few weeks to go through half a tank (Jeep is 7 months old and 4,500 miles- which 1K of that was highway driving from CA when I purchased it and then my trip back there) so, besides my "trips" to/from CA, I put about 500 miles a month on my Jeep.

Here in Las Vegas, if I drive 100 miles I can go around the city a few times!!!! I work from home 1/2 the time and when in my office it's 4 miles roundtrip.

Keep in mind, it's off by a percentage, not just 2mph across the board. Also semantics, but 2kmh = 1.24mph

Again, I'm not not arguing, just trying to share info

If you are GPS speed 50mph, and your Jeep is showing 52mph, then you are off by 4%. After travelling 300 actual miles, your jeep will think it has gone an extra 12 miles (312mi)

After 100,000 miles, your jeep will show 104,000. Not crazy in the grand scheme of things. You're still using the same amount of gas, you're still doing the same maintenance, maybe 1 extra oil change over that 100k.

Aside from checking the tire size in the Procal, also verify the technician set the correct axle ratio (4.10) for your truck.

ok. got it. Im wondering if I should buy a tazer and use that instead of the AEV. The real factor I'm and other here are trying to figure out is what IS my "real" gas mileage. There seems to be a discrepancy.

I guess that depends of the functions of the ProCal vs the Tazer. I actually purchased the Mojave lift that did NOT include the Procal because i knew i would buy the Tazer to use the additional features

The tire size/mpg issue on the Procal should be easy enough to sort with some troubleshooting if thats all youre trying to solve

All the unbelievers...
My Sport S, with 18" stock wheels & tires (from a Mojave,) gets 23+ mpg combined, as long as I drive conservatively.
I don't see why his 19, even with bigger tires, is so hard to believe.

Kevin
Call me an unbeliever, but I’ve never seen stock 18” Mojave tires or wheels. I’ve only seen 17”.

I do not believe there is a Wrangler Mojave…

I have 35s on my Mojave. The worse tank I have ever gotten is 10.5 and the best is 19.2. My lifetime average is 14.8 in all driving. I am leadfooted, but put the cruise on 75 when I am on the highway. Mine is off though, as I have never corrected for the bigger tires. My speedometer reads 2-3 mph Lower than what I am actually going.
