My Gladiator currently is running 37-in tires. I noticed that after I went from stock tires to larger tires I of course needed to push my brake pedal a little harder to do the same stopping distance. I'm just wondering what everybody out there is doing to get more responsive brakes and what brake brands you are using to replace the stock brakes and rotors? Also I noticed that I have to push the pedal down pretty far to get the brakes to really do a good job and I found that was the same even with the stock ones. Has anybody had the same situation? One more thing that I did notice too is that after sitting for several days the brake pedal is very hard when trying to start the vehicle. Does anybody else have information on the booster check valve or is this normal for the Jeep to do this after several days of sitting?

A couple things you could do…that is beneficial but not guaranteed …..

I would flush out all the old brake fluid with fresh.
You could get yourself some braided stainless steel brake lines.
Of course, new pads & rotors ….
Get those calipers /pins cleaned up & lubed also.

After going thru the above….. you have a fresh ‘starting’ point to try and diagnose anything else that could potentially be an issue.
