23 Gladiator Rubicon Diesel Tires

Good evening all. I have a 23 Gladiator Rubicon Diesel with a Mopar 2" lift. I had planned on running Falken 35x11.50r17's on factory wheels initially, but now I am tossing around the idea of getting new wheels (17x8.5) so I can use the more standard 35x12.50 tires. I was wondering what offset and backspacing I'd need to get just slight tire pole, like an inch. Maybe even have tread under fender flares, but sidewall poking out slightly. I have overwhelmed myself trying to sift through all of the offset and backspacing information and frankly, my head hurts. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I also have a 23 Rubicon Diesel. I bought the Rocktrix RT112 17x9 with the +12 (5.5") backspace with Goodyear Duratrac 35x12.50 tires. It stuck out a bit bot not too bad. I also added the Extreme Recon package fender flares and the tread is under the flare but the sidewall sticks out a bit. It was exactly the look i was going for. I'll try find pics of it.

I also have the ‘23 JTRD. I added Falken Wildleak RT01’s 37x12.5x18 on Black Rhino Armory wheels 18x9.5 & -18 offset (no backspacing). I have more tire sticking out than it sounds like you want, but maybe it will help you as you determine what offset you want. See pics…
