35" Tires / Running Boards - Rubicon

Deleted member 23202

When I put 37s on my stock wheels (on my ‘07 JK Rubi Unlimited), I cut the front and back of both rock rails by approximately 1” to stop rubbing. The round tube ends in front frame had to be slightly ground down as well. Otherwise, I barely rubbed the front sway bar on extreme articulation.
The 37x12.50r17s on stock wheels did get squeezed to be taller/thinner by 1/2”. I’ve always kept the stock wheels or slightly narrow aftermarket wheels to act as a sort of beadlock. Never did slip a tire off!
