7 in screen and guages

I am in the midst of ordering my JTRD I am torn between dropping 2600 for the 8.4 screen and front camera or not. I am having LED, AUX, Towing, Trail Rail and Cold Weather packages. If I upgrade to the 8.4 and dont get the front camera then I lose the zoom function in the towing package. If I keep it at 7in then I keep the zoom I believe. Is the zoom worth it? If I keep the 7 in I hear you cant have off road pages on the screen. Since I am getting a diesel I would like to have the oil psi and temp, along with water temp numbers. Is this still able to be seen on the 7in or only on the 8.4? If I have the 7in can I see this in the dash cluster by the speedo and tach?

No off road pages on the 7 but you can get the same info scrolling through the gauge screen.

Not 100% on the gauges but I have the 8.4 radio with no front camera and I can still zoom in on the hitch.

Thats good to hear, I guess the jeep build website was wrong. Do you use the zoom alot?

No I got the tow package for the beefier alternator and cooling fan. But I read the site and it mentions you will not have the zoom if you order one with the 8.4 radio AND manual transmission together unless you have the front camera. If you get an automatic no need for the front camera.

As mentioned above, the off road pages and temperature and pressure gauges are also on the center cluster, even if you order the 7 inch screen. I can confirm hitch zoom is on the 7 inch screen with either transmission or engine option. No front camera on the 7 inch, though. You just have to have the towing package to get the zoom.
