AEV RX BUMPER ON MOJAVE

Does anyone have an AEV RX Front Bumper on their Mojave? If so, what did you have to do with the Fox remote reservoir?

AEV skid plate will not work on Mojave but I was able to attach oem skid plate with minor modification. It perfectly covers the reservoirs.

I hope that’s not true about the skid plate. I purchased one and no where on their site does it state it won’t work.

Information is sparse, but I am able to find a few Mojave's w/ the AEV bumper and no mentions of the skid specifically.

You are correct. Information is scarce. I even had a problem with the winch support brackets. Currently waiting on a response from AEV.

It does work. I wish I had documented my install more but it was spread out over several weeks due to missing parts and I was pretty frustrated. As best I recall you reuse the mojave brackets that are kind of at the bottom of the crash rail instead of the AEV ones. Then it is just some creative alignment but it does work.

I love the bumper but the whole install was a giant PITA in my opinion.

Was the problem they did not include them? That is what happened to me. I know I should have laid everything out and checked before I started, but also for the price of this bumper get your stuff right. They did expedite ship me the missing winch support brackets and hardware but I was back offshore by that time so it slowed me down a good bit with my overall timeline.

So your winch support bracket fit correctly with no mods?

It did yes. Again, there were multiple points where the directions seemed to be lacking or I really had to fight to get things where I needed/ wanted them but it all worked without any modification. As I recall the support brackets should just more or less bolt to the side of the compatibility rail or whatever they call the support members.

I had to cut mine for it to clear the reservoir mounting screw.

I chose to to make a small cut and use oem skid.

How flat is your winch plate sitting when all said and done? Mine was very slightly tilted forward, based on how the winch support brackets installed, but everything worked fine. 21 model, not that it *should* make a difference

Mine was tilted forward as well. I asked if that was normal. They are getting back to me on that.
