A bit of off-roading, camping and just getting out there.

Still figuring that out, but IT for now!
I haven't looked through the forums for this answer, but just in case I figured to ask the good old group. I'm in Georgia and outside of doing most of the GA Traverse I'm looking for places to do some lazy off-roading and camping. I know the Southeast doesn't really have much, but I'm just looking for places that for a weekend could be a good escape/adventure for the JT and get some camping in. I'm not looking to do any crawling, just some challenging and remote areas to explore.
Thanks!

Two great resources you could use are onXoffroad and iOverlander. onXoffroad is an amazing trail app that will show you all the offroad trails in your area.

iOverlander is great for primitive camping. It's basically an app that campers go on and log places they've camped in the woods. It'll list primitive sites, campgrounds, as well as places like Walmart that let you camp in their lots.
