Does anyone know if I can tap into the power and audio of the little sub behind the back seats to add an amp and subwoofer to the gladiator?

I am personally going with this, as it is alpine and designed specifically for a Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator. Very straight forward installation at what I’m going to venture out and say will be a fraction of the price to try to put something behind the back seats.

I hear you on the price. I already have a powerful amp and 10" JBL subs though, so I'm thinking I'd be cheaper doing the wiring myself if it's not incredibly difficult.

I installed the Alpine PSS-23WRA and no complaints.

My knowledge of car audio systems is limited to connecting my iPhone to the radio via Bluetooth. So I'll pay a premium for a simple Plug & Play option.

Here's my two cents (if it's worth anything). Haha! So, here is a shot of my system. I actually installed this about 7 months ago and it's still sounding good. Stock 8.4", Hifonics Brutus Amp, and 1 10" SSA DCON sub. Sounds as good and hits as hard as 2 10" subs.

My point is, anyone interested in installing aftermarket equipment should be more concerned with quality. I had 2 10" subs, but I took them out and put them in our JKU because they didn't sound very well at all. The airspace they required was just too huge of a box. The airspace require for my SSA was perfect. And even gave me the option to build a storage space into the box.

Didn't cost a lot and sounds great! Do your research on equipment and options. Hope my two cents helped a little.
