Sunday am...having coffee and just thinking out the box here. I understand there is no silver bullet in total vehicle protection from the bad guys.....its all about layers of security and buying time. My thought process in trying to leverage the RFH is to take out of the equation as much technology as possible since said technology is what is making it easier for bad guys to steal cars today.
Just thinking.
If the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) is interrupted by a hidden switch then:
Functions of the RFH
Just thinking.
If the Radio Frequency Hub (RFH) is interrupted by a hidden switch then:
- Any key fob manipulation/cloning (by bad guys) wouldn’t matter because no key fob would be recognized = no start and no easy entry into vehicle. Yes they would have to brake window.
- Any manipulation of the keyless ignition node (KIN) wouldn’t matter because the RFH would never receive a signal = no start
- Remote start would be inoperable.
- Entry into the vehicle would have to be via key within fob (just like old school)
- You would have to lock all doors via door lock or fob then flip switch before exiting vehicle.
- use key via fob to unlock drivers door then flip switch to unlock all doors and/or start vehicle.
