Hey everyone, I just installed a new front bumper that came with LED foglights and a 20 inch light bar. The fog lights came with their own harness/relay/switch but i don't want to use it. The LED lights are pretty similar to these:

If left with no choice i'm thinking of splicing the OEM harness from the original bumper into the pigtails on the lights but i'm not a huge fan of crimp connectors, even if they are environmental. Are there any adapter harnesses like the oracle has for their backup lights?

oracle kit here:

If anyone has any ideas i'd be interesed. For now the connectors are bagged and tied up. The light bar i plan to cut out the relay and switch and run it directly to my aux switches. I could do the same with the fogs in the short term but since the factory has a switch already i'd like to be able to use it instead of taking up another aux.

Thanks!

P.S. Just noticed i probably should've posted this in lighting. If theres a mod that can move it feel free, couldn't find where to delete it to repost.

The only plug and play harness I have seen have been the harness that comes with plug and play lights such as the Oracle Wrangler/Gladiator specific fog lights. An option is to determine the Molex connector used on the Gladiator fog lights source two and add these to your new LED fogs. I don’t like cutting or splicing the factory harness either. Have fun with your new hobby!

My winch bumper came with a extension wiring harness that I used as a point to get signal power for a relay. The 40 amp relay now runs the fogs and 3 other driving lights. Using a relay keeps the computer happy and have never had a code show up! Just one way of getting power without hacking up the factory harness.

I've got a voswitch jl300 it comes with 6 buttons that have relays/fuses built in so I'm trying to avoid mounting extas inside the hood/cabin. I looked at a bunch of adapters and conversion harnesses but none seem to fit my connectors. I took apart the harness today and the simplest solution is to splice in my existing harness. I wasn't planning on doing anything with the old bumper anyway. When it comes time to do the rear i'll probably do the same except using the oracle adapter.

Thanks to all who chimed in. I'll post some pictures once i get it installed this afternoon.

Sorry the pictures arent great, i was in a rush to finish last night and forgot to take pics along the way. I snipped the factory Fog light harness just past the cover plate on the right side where the harness split leaving about 3-4" on each leg. Then i cut my RC fog light harness leads to approximate lengths .

I found the factory harness far light wire had 3 wires (one yellow 2 black) and the closer only had 2 wires (orange and black) The factory connector back to the frame has 3 wires, black orange and yellow. For whatever reason it looks like the ground wire from the connector went all the way to the far fog light then ran a new wire back to the close light. I ended up just twisting the 2 black wires on the far light side together into an environmental splice so they'd provide ground all round. Heated up the heat shrink connectors then covered it all in electrical tape for good measure.

First picture is everything tied up but you can see the factory gray connector and the smaller RC LED connectors. Second is the new bumper and third is everything on at night. The light bar was wired into a seperate aux swich, but the fog lights use the factory button. I'm pretty pleased with the result. After tying up loose wires the skid plate from rough country hides everything away nicely.
