Looking to add a more aggressive stance with factory rubicon wheels. Thought a 17x9 with 4.5 bs and -12 offset would do it but put out too far and not right. Only want about 1 inch past fenders. See photos. Fuel noiteo are shown. Am considering aev 17x8.5 or quadratec.

If you're thinking about doing a full lift, you need to decide how high and which lift first.

Some lifts spell out a specific back space range on wheels. Hate to see someone have to buy the same thing twice.

If you're going to stay factory suspension, you're looking for something in the +12 to +18 range.

AEV pintlers for the JL are +25, and will stick out 1.25 inches further than stock +44, according to my app. That should keep you nicely tucked. Right now, you're sticking out about 3 inches further than stock.

Happy with factory lift now. May go to 2.5 inch lift in future. Thanks for input

Just for comparison, I have 37x12.50x17 BFG KM3's on 17x9.5 Black Rhino Overlands with -18 mm offset. Probably sticks out further than what you're looking for, but I like them.

It sure is hard to tell. I'm currently looking at fuel rebel wheels. They are 9 " wide with -12 offset. My Rubicon has the wider axles so it will poke out more than say a sport or overland.
I'm not interested in throwing snow all over my JT because I screwed up the offset on my wheels.
