Update: dealership thought they updated the correct gear ratio and tire size, but apparently only the new tire size was updated. We used/reinstalled my Tazer and updated the correct gear ratio and anll all is good.
Lessons Learned: if you have new gears, you either need to remarry the Tazer...
Thought about that, but I’m not getting the Service “Axle Locker” light, but the Serv “4wd”. I believe I would be getting that light and different DTC’s if it were that sensor?
Long story…so hang with me.
Had the issue with the FAD bushing go bad. Horrible vibration noise. Also seemed to get some transfer case noise (not sure if related) at the same time.. Fon d the STAR case on the FAD Bushing and had the repair done. A few weeks later was in 4lo, and while getting...
Some say they are “stiff” but I prefer that over “boaty”. Additionally I prefer the feedback of a stiffer shock on the highway for that reason. Off road they are amazing. Different suspensions will also work differently with whatever shock you buy. Spring stiffness, Anti-Rocks, etc. all have an...
I use them on my TJ…has 35x12.5x15 tires. All that extra rotating rubber mass for a 15 inch wheel was taking a ton of weights. I decided to take the leap and try the Dynamic Beads. They work great. Never had to rebalance the tires ever again. Have been through two sets of tires with them. Just...
These are excellent tires. Good on road and excellent off road. For a 12 ply tire they grip like nothing else. one of our favorite tires we have ever tested, and our tire choice for our rigs to this day. Don’t hesitate.
They are Icon Rebounds and they are Titanium. I have two sets, one Titanium with 35’s for towing the camper, and one Bronze with 37’s for wheeling. The bronze is darker, not the flashy goldish bronze you see on the market. Great wheels!
Pretty sure I followed their instructions. On the TJ it's all in the drivers side footwell. Must have spliced into the harness somewhere near there. FYI, they designed it so you can connect/disconnect this feature so you don't have to swipe the magnet every time. I do this when wheeling as we...
I don't recall...I probably followed the instructions. I installed it 15+ years ago on my TJ. Still working fine all these years. It says it works on any 12v system, so likely could be adapted to the JT?
Yes…not that hard to remove, and it seems like the Tazer doesn’t help if removed either. I guess a deterrent at best. Relay bypass seems like the best option so far…
Tazer offers a theft protection option to enter a code through the buttons on the steering wheel. I wonder if this can be bypassed as well through the CAN? Hike-It and other throttle controllers also offer a theft protection mode that disables the throttle…push on the accelerator and nothing...
The problem removing them is that there are two connectors and they are wired tightly together into one bundle. Getting one out before the other is a pain, and trying to remove both at the same time is impossible. What I found is that by taking a cord/wire and looping it around the single wire...
called
Sent them an email and it got bounced back as undeliverable. Called and asked to talk to someone about an extended warranty and they sent me to a voicemail. Nobody called me back. Called back and the same thing happened. want to get an estimate, but they don’t seem to want to play?
Something to consider…two sets of wheels/tires? I run 35’s for daily and towing our camper cross country. I throw on the 37’s for wheeling. I can also tow the camper with the 37’s if heading to Moab etc. without issue, just easier with the 35’s.
