Hey folks,
First thread here, just got my MojaveX on Tuesday. I wanted to get a cover on the bed before the crappy weather hits but I’m still undecided on the route I want to go (Tonneau or Topper). I picked up this inexpensive tri-fold off Amazon for about $400. DISCLAIMER - I have zero experience with any type of cover. I haven’t had a truck in years. Anyway, received the cover today, packaging was in perfect shape, opened up the box and everything was well packaged. Instructions were fairly simple and well written for the most part, but the video on the Amazon page made it even easier. Seems like a well made cover and really simple install. Probably took me an hour total, but I could do it in 15 minutes now. Only 2 clamps up front and 2 quick release clamps in back. I was surprised to see that 2 small LED lights are built into the underside near the back. I also like how the corners are curved a bit to go with the lines of the bed. I looked at a couple and they weren’t and looked really ugly. All in all, if your looking for just a simple cover that definitely doesn’t break the back this seems like a good deal, only time will tell.👍🏼

While I do understand this was a typo, how true is that statement these days??!!

Good write up. Always good to know we don’t have to pay some of the prices for the standard gear that seems overpriced and still get a quality product.

I have the Tyger T1 soft roll up cover from Amazon. Hard to beat for $230 after tax. I've had it about four months now and no complaints so far.

Have the same cover for almost 5 years now. Still holding up just fine. You need to be careful how you position it to get the tightest water seal. Mine does leak a little on occasion. If you off road, you will want a seal kit to keep the dust coming in from the tailgate. It’s a lot of dust if not.

Nice, thanks for the tips. Is a seal kit just weatherstripping? The instructions said put the weatherstripping at the tailgate end but I could see where there would be a gap at the cab end so I put it there (the cab end is lower than the side rails). I figured if I needed to do the tailgate I can do it later.

Yes, a generic weatherstripping. Got mine off Amazon.

I bought this same hard tri-fold off Temu for under $300. I was surprised at how nice it was when it arrived. I did need to put the included weatherstip across the front of the bed. It's not as easy to open as the Tyger roll up that I had for 5 years.

[/QUOITE] I really appreciate your info give on the Bed Cover! We bought our Glad in December, and I've been researching covers, wanting to stay in the no more than $500 range! Will be looking into this one for sure...Thanks!

That looks great! I got the Oedro soft trim fold and it doesn't work at all! Bought off Amazon but unfortunately couldn't install for a few months. Went to do it and the clips are at such an angle they will not clamp on. Been going back and forth with the company. Best they can offer is $70 back to fix it! It's obviously a defect in the design. I did it to get something cheap to start as I'm not sure the direction I want to go. But this one is really nice and really not expensive. I think I'm gonna give it a try! Thanks for the write up.

I have the Tyger tri-fold soft cover and I'm happy with it as well. I think it was about $200.
