OK, I called Jeep back this morning and of course talked to a different person who by the way could not find any record of my previous call last week. This Gentleman I talked to today couldn't give me any answers to the question but he was super friendly and also very thorough. He gave me a case number and promised they would be in touch between 24 and 48 hours. We'll wait and see.....

I spoke with the dealer today, as well. He said that he did confirm that my head unit does not support Alexa Built-In. It has been escalated as they try to determine why the feature has been removed from certain head units, but still listed as a feature. He promised a call back this week. No word on a potential resolution, but I've give them a bit longer to sort this out.

If Alexa Built-In was listed as a feature, but is not available, I would advise that you contact your dealer even if you don't intend on using the feature. Stellantis needs to correct the Mulroney Label and compensate Jeep owners.

Well..... Just got off the phone with Michael my case manager from Stellantis. He stated to me that the tech unit finally got back on my case with a resolution. As Mad Jasper stated my head unit does not support Alexa, if I wanted to I could buy an aftermarket unit that does support it.... I just about lost it and told him their "resolution" is unacceptable. I stated that the Mulroney label clearly states that Alexa is "built in". He then proceeded to tell me that I was misinterpreting what it says on the Label and that what it really means is that Alexa is available on the system through Apple car play or Android auto through your phone. I told him that is NOT what it says, I also told him that I went back to my dealer and looked at another unit that has the Navigational Connect system (which is what they say you need to have Alexa "built in") and it states exactly the same as my label that Alexa is built in.... Long story short he basically said too bad so sad.... I did tell him that I would be persuing it further but he seemed not to care..

"Built-in" means it exists in the unit. It doesn't mean "you can add it ........ if"
It doesn't say "available" as in "you can get it if you want".
It doesn't say "with your phone" or with Android Auto or Apple Car Play - it says with wifi.
That is also a bit misleading because you really need an internet connection/subscription in your truck, but it's Jeep - they also don't list the SelecTrac transfer case!

Did you know the word "alexa" isn't even in the owners manual - I mean the download one.

The dealer did not return my phone calls so I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint in late August. I received a call from the dealer within an hour of the BBB confirmation.

There was an initial belief that Alexa Built-In could be activated since it is listed on the sales code, but the latest update seems to confirm a mass Maroney Label mislabeling. The service advisor said that "affected users" would be contacted by Stellantis.

In my complaint, I outlined three resolutions which I believe are based on federal law.

1) Activate/Install Alexa Built-In.
2) Provide compensation for the missing feature
3) Buyback

It appears that we are headed toward option 2.

If your window sticker listed Alexa Built-In as a feature, but it's not installed, I suggest that you push the dealer on this issue. Federal law requires accurate Maroney Labels. You will likely be eligible for compensation.

Did you subscribe to the monthly internet/wifi?
It requires an Internet subscription via AT&T

I did. I had the three month trial plus I subscribed to two additional months while we were working through the issue.

Thing is, the Alexa Built-In app should be present in the system regardless of monthly Internet subscription, it just won't work. The app is not present and cannot be installed.

How much compensation though?

When they were de-contenting vehicle features for chip shortages during the Wu-Flu years, they were pretty paltry sums with most being sub $100 credits.

I still see current Monroney stickers with Alexa listed.

And it may be there - it is on mine, and when I accidentally tried, it told me I had to have the wifi subscription.

I should follow-through on the "free month" and see if it actually works.

If I am following the point of contention though, it is being Monroney listed on non nav equipped radios as a feature. I am in the same boat in that I have a non nav radio but it is listed on my Monroney label and build sheet.

Not something I really care about but the OP is right that it should not be listed on the Monroney if not capable.

Been a minute but I thought I'd post an update.

Almost three months to the day of my last communication and there has been no proposed remedy. I am still waiting on "the business office in Atlanta" to contact me.

So, I sent an email outlining the the past 10 months of misdirection along with the proposed resolutions that are consistent with Monroney Act violations to Stellantis Compliance and cc'd dealer.

On deck are complaints to the NHTSA, FTC, and Florida State Attorney General's office.

I'm done playing.

Let me know - I'm filing complaints with the Iowa AG (already done) and they suggested lemon law and my attorney said "I'd sue them" - the sunrider doesn't fit and I'm supposed to have Alexa built-in.
It's al on my monroney sticker.
