Quick trip to the hardware store. Got in for return trip and out on the road noticed the indicator on the dash showing rear diff is locked. Quick scroll to the off road info stuff on dash (the one that displays drivetrain status) showed locked rear diff. Switch below dash showed locked rear diff even though i never touched the switch. Truck does not feel like the rear diff is locked. Pressed the diff lock off button. Light started flashing on diff indicator and continued to flash for the duration of trip. Got home. Switched off ignition. Restarted. No lights or indicators of rear diff locked. Did it fix it's self? 2020 Rubicon. Just turned 10K trouble free miles. Anyone have an explanation? Thanks.

If you look in the technical forums (this is in the marketplace), you will see threads on sensor failures. Jeep can’t get just the sensor, and is replacing axles. Tazer makes a bypass.

I had the same problem, rear is not. locked it is probably the sensor, apparently if you let it go after awhile it will post a locker fail and disable the system. I had a problem with replacing the whole rear to replace an unavailable sensor , with acwhole rear aclecwith same sensor in it, so I did the tazer bypass thing which basically eliminates the location sensor and let’s the system think it is there, locker works fine, all displays on dash show it locked or unlocked, and I’m out about $187! I plan on taking it into dealer when new upgraded sensors are available or maybe never as it isn’t an issue for me either way. Search on forums for locker sensor , you will see.....Jack

I have made 2 trips to my dealer about 40 miles one way. They said they can't do anything unless the indicators are illuminated. They don't know anything about this problem. Is there any kind of a service bulletin? How should I move forward with the dealer?

I was advised by another member to go to the market place because there was an existing thread there.
