I looooove the vanguard bar.
https://www.extremeterrain.com/vang...adiator-bravo-roll-bar-black-vgrb-2202bk.html

looking at some of the "low profile offerings, i'd swear it will fit over it. Really it looks as though the only catch would be the rubber trim over the bed rails. Mounting it over them, or even trimming it a bit...thoughts?
this is the proven ground low profile. looking at the pics of the vanguard bar, and the bed rails here there does seem to be room.

The vanguard bar seems to be mounted on most of the bed rail, idk if i would get two folds or just one. only one would be a deal breaker. totally fine to only get two folds. I didnt buy this truck to haul a refrigerator...ild have it delivered lol.
I'm curious if anyone got that bar, or one like it to work with a hard tri fold cover?

thanks for the info!

I had to modify the fwd bracket on the rail. I moved it about two inches fwd. Also, I couldn’t use the clamp that came with it so I drilled through the base of the roll bar and just used a washer and nut on the backside.

Thanks for that pic. I like the black horse bar. Is the cross bar distracting in the rear window at all? That’s my only complaint on that one.

it is a little distracting. For me it sits right in line of sight when using the mirror. Really not a big deal though. Worth the sacrifice of the 80’s retro look.
