Another U Connect 7" Front Camera Question

I know that this has been a well covered subject already but what I have not found in my searches is if adding the second camera to 7" u connect could be done with a video switcher. This one looks like it integrates with the Jeep and can be triggered both automatically or manually. Those that are a bit more electronic savvy what are your thoughts on this.

Secondarily could just a basic splitter that you can manually change video inputs like this be a possibility?
