Has anyone tried a NATO mount on this rail? Some people have suggested this rail is the same as a NATO rail.
Hey there, Nick with Tackform.

Great Question!

In short yes. They work.

Just make sure there aren't crossbars in the bottom of the attachments. You can see in the video. NATO attachments shouldn't have that, but we've seen some sellers on Amazon mention their 1913 Pic Rail Accessories where compatible but there's some nuance to it.

We've also ran into some confusion with some website customers confusing NATO attachments with 1913 Pic Rail attachments so we have a quick video to explain the differences.

I hope this helps.

Does the back of the radio have a standard hanger button? It would make it compatible with the following part. This is an Expedition Essentials Mic Clip, that we bundle with our Base/Arm/Holder. If so let me know. I'll get you taken care of.

Wow, these radios got DUSTY in storage in that cupboard in the garage.
Standard I guess is what I'd call the mics.

I can't even say if they still work............. so it's a "maybe" project.

I love these so much, I'll be ordering more, I'm sure. I want a slightly longer arm to use on the right for my wife's phone (once I convince her to use it LOL) I have the ball on the right end, will see what lengths the arms come in and get a longer one for her side.

I swapped out the MOPAR ball mount and arm and rigging I had for my snow plow control - without the control in the bracket the arm would vibrate and bounce a bit on harsh roads. The Tackform does NOT. It is rock-solid, no vibrations with or without the plow control hanging in it. This means I can leave it there all year and not take it off because of an annoying bounce/vibration without the plow control in it.
The fit on the rail is great - and the best part - it sits LOW to the rail - minimizing stuff sticking up on the dash and likely helping prevent vibrations. I like the low profile of their ball on the rail vs. the MOPAR ball which sat quite a bit higher on the rail.

It's been colder than heck here, fussing with door opener installers screwing up installations, messing up shop door fit, plumbers installing parts different than the quote - dragging out filter installs over many days and so on and still fussing with side effects of the DBS, and maybe, just maybe a new Jeep may arrive for my wife so there's stuff to transfer from current to new - so my "install and testing" is quite slow these days. But when a product is solid like Tackform stuff I just installed - I'm quite happy.

If you like this rail - and I do - any want a ton of options for it that "just fit" - Tackform has really solid stuff. So far, I'm unable to come up with a negative other than I would love to see a truly tool-less (even COIN-LESS) version of their ball come out for this track. I still have to dig to find something to fit the slots since I don't carry change with me these days. Guess maybe keep a penny in the cup holder ;)

More later as I try other configurations and other parts.

Looking good! One small tip.. You can flip those green knobs around.. Like in the picture attached.

You'll find rubber caps in the original black knobs that come with the kit, you can pop them in the green knobs once you flip them...Check out the picture to see the knob orientation and knob cap.

Thanks - it was a hurry up job for sure.......... figured go in a tweak the positions and such later as needed. Never gave a thought to the knob plugs got in such a hurry. Fingers don't take cold like 50 years ago!
Next time I can maybe get it into my shop where things are warmer, will flip them around like you suggest.
