Looking at my options for 37" tires that will fit my 18" rims. I currently have 35" WildPeak ATW4's and have 37" ATW4's on order but they will not ship until end of September, early October. Plus, the 37x12.5 AT4W's have a very narrow 9.5" tread pattern which I really do not like.

Looking at the 37x13.5x18 tire options, I really like the look of the Radar Renegade R/T tire. Read as much info as I could find and there are lots of good reviews. But there are also some really bad reviews sprinkled in about these tires being difficult to balance.

Anyone have some first handle experience with these? I found 2 members of the forum that have them but both members do not seem to be currently active on the site. One did say he loved them.

Here's a members picture of his Gladiator with these Radar Renegade R/T in the exact size that I would be getting, 37X13.5R18LT

I've had Radar Renegade RTs since February and had no issues. They have performed well in snow, ice, and mud. Less noise on the road than the Firestone Destination II MTs (37x12.5 R 17 on Pro Comp Bandidos) that I was running before. Currently have Radar Renegade RTs 33x12.5 R20s on Fuel wheels and love them. The guy at the tire shop said they can be hard to balance, but the set I have were not. Running on a 2020 Gladiator Sport with unknown lift, maybe 4", with Fox Performance shocks.

I have Radar Renegades in 37x13.50x20 on my Jeep. Been on about 2 1/2 years so far and no real problems. They did balance alright and track good with no vibration. One did take more weight than the rest but they are big tires. They show almost no wear. Had Nitto Ridge grapplers on before and these are alot lighter. Not much experience with off road, just sand and some light snow. They do handle weight fine I pull a 23 foot boat and have had 1400lbs in the bed and with 25 to 28 lbs they don't really bulge the sidewall.

Are these tires less expensive than BFG, Falken, Nitto, etc?

Thank you! That's what I was hoping to hear. Matches most of the reviews I read.

Thank you! I agree, difficult to balance happens more often with these larger tires. Even the name brand tires can have some inconsistencies.

Yes they are. I ended up buying a set yesterday (37x13.5x18), Tire Rack had them for $390 per tire. Went to my local Americas Tire (aka: Discount Tire) and they had them in their system for $317 each. And if you use your Americas Tire credit card, you can get free financing or $90 off. I took the $90 off. Final price was $299 per tire (for 37's!). The Ridge Grapplers in this size sell for over $500 each.

I've always bought name brand tires, this is my first set of "cheap" tires in my 37 years of owning cars/trucks. Fingers crossed.

I have always bought name brand tires as well. They are so expensive though, that I am shopping around too. I am looking at Delium next time, but I am going to consider these as well. I might consider Patagonia as well.

Look online at Priority tire. I think I paid around $240 each for 37x13.50x20s. Add $80 total for mount and balance it was pretty cheap and that was why I tried them. Had the shipped to the house for free too. My installer said they are still selling at pre covid prices, but not sure what they are now.
