Has anyone installed a relay box? If so which one and where did you install it? I ordered this waterproof fuse/relay box from amazon and I couldn't find a good place to mount it in the engine bay.

From some measurements I just eyeballed, you could make a bracket (s) and mount above the brake booster and have wiring *box" access to run wires though too. Remember the hood don't set down right on top of engine. So that area might be worth looking into. Aluminum flat stock is not to expensive and easy to bend to shape with a vice but try to have at least 3 ( tri-angle ) attachment points to stop vibration and metal fatigue if you do.

You are right it does fit nicely there... Thanks!

Hopefully I will have time to work on the mounting bracket this weekend, will post pictures of the end result.

Your welcome. Some ideas for me too if I need more circuits depending on how stupid I get with additional lights. :giggle:

I know this is an old thread, but wouldn't mounting it between the batter and fender sideways be the simplest thing to do? Heck $40 and a trip to Honedepot and you could havile it mounted on a base that slides up and tilts it flat for easy access.

It would, space is a reason for wiring on left side away from factory breakers / fuse system, air filter, factory batteries. Don't forget trying to find / fix the burned out fuse or relay sideways. I've got a H.D. relay mounted in that area already for a winch disconnect and factory aux switches running lights and aux power running to back of bed. So quite a loading of wires through there.
