This is kind of an spin off from my other thread of taking the overland running boards off.

I haven’t really seen any steps or rock rails I’m too keen on. So I’m kicking around the idea of having the bottom portion of the jeep all Line-X’d. Looks like it would give me the protection I’m looking for but keep the clean look. Anyone have this done?

There is a guy locally that has a business doing plastidip and line-x...his business is taking a hit since no one is spending money on anything but TP...so he is doing a special...Line-X an entire truck for $499. Part of me wants to do it...but I like the shine of paint too much. lol

Haha. I’m only interested in doing the bottom edges all around the truck. I don’t think our local linex is even open.

I got the areas under my rock rails bullet lined, I didnt like the gap between the rails and the truck itself. It was hard to clean and a small rock catcher.

This is similar to what I’m looking to do. Except go a little higher. Is “bullet lined” the same as linex?

Heres some info on bullet liners that I found. I personally am really impressed with my berliner that I had them do.

Mine was done in DuPont Kevlar I for one love how tough it is.

wow. It does look good. Also looks very expensive lol. Thanks though. Gives me another product to look at. Linex is wanting 800-1k just to do around the bottom edges.

I thought you just meant the bed of the box, but I would rather have the Weather tech version, but I keep being told it isn't yet available. I'd get mine line-xed, but I don't really want to spend $600 for it and not be able to remove it!
