I have not tried the XPower myself (Rough Country fan here), but they look to be a good option for those looking for winches on a budget. Much of my searches brought me to their Amazon store. The review quantity is low but good, and Lowe's and other online stores carry their products. Hope this helps!

I see negatives -
* The frame isn't - well, there isn't much of one,
* It comes with "wire rope" (which I personally dislike)
* The remote appears to be wired only. I love the wireless because I can be in the truck, or standing a SAFE distance away and operate the winch and not be stuck next to it with a remote wired to the winch.

For a little bit more you can get the Badland Apex with synthetic rope, stronger frame and WIRELESS remote control. (And you can go to your Harbor Freight store for warranty or to order parts)

Just my opinions - worth every penny you paid, money-back guarantee. (not valid in state of Utah, California or State of Confusion.
