I had a question concerning the use cases for APEXDesigns Autolynx Sway Bar disconnects vs their Airlynx system. I know many people who love their Autolynx sway bar disconnects, so I was curious when I saw the Airlynx system on their website. I sent a quick note via their contact form with my rig and my typical driving/offroading style (Gladiator Mojave and more forest service road and unmaintained tracks than rock crawling). Within 24 hours, I received an email reply explaining the differences between the two and a detailed explanation of why and how the Airlynx system is designed for my type of driving with full adjustability. In contrast, the Autolynx is just a sway bar disconnect aimed at those needing an easier and better way to disconnect and re-connect their sway bars.
Customers and more importantly, potential customers play a huge part in a company's success and their customer service has proven to me that they value educating their customers and letting their products speak for themselves!
Thank you APEXDesigns!

Sure-

Based off your description of your use I would strongly recommend the airLYNX. They will give you the most control and overall functionality for what you are doing. The airLYNX really shine for higher speed applications and are perfect for fire roads, high speed desert trails, whoops, and sand dunes. They give you the ability to tune the rate of your factory sway bar from soft rate all the way to full lock out for a factory rate by simply adjusting the pressure in the links. They will also you allow you to use about 90% percent of your max articulation with your stock Mojave Fox Shocks when aired down to zero.

The autoLYNX are fantastic and definitely have their place however they are simply a sway bar disconnect. They do not provide any tune-ability or control when disconnected. They are much better suited for rock crawling.

Hopefully this helps.

Thanks for the info! I've been eyeing a set of the Autolynx for my Mojave for quite some time now, but have been hesitant to pull the trigger because I have AAL metal inner fender liners and at stock ride height I'd probably have to cut a hole in them to allow for full travel - which I do not want to do. I've been thinking of doing an AEV spacer lift, but have been slow rolling that as well. And will probably step up to 35/37's as soon as I need new tires. None of which come cheap!

If I'm reading all of this correctly, and please someone educate me if my thinking here is off... at ~60% the price of the Autolynx plus the cost of a small shock pump, I can install Airlynx, bleed them to 0 and get 90% of what full disconnect would provide, and then pump back to the desired PSI when I get off the trail? And they should work whether I do a lift or not.

Am I missing something? Sounds like a no brainer for me, who much like you Ximoto, will stick to light wheeling, unmaintained trails, etc., nothing too too major.

That loss of even 10% of the travel is what I am concerned about. FOX doesn't have the greatest amount of travel, to begin with, can I handle 10% less (when I do need it)? As for the ability to adjust the sway bar flex on top of an already amazing ride, the stock setup provides.... I am torn. I need to drive a Gladiator with them installed first!
I think the Autolynx and Airlynx are aimed at two different types of people - if the need to disconnect my sway bars were more important to me, I would buy the Autolynx in a heartbeat! I have heard nothing but great reviews from everyone that has them.
