Bed lining rain guards?

Thinking of buying a set of the rain guards on eBay for $30-40 and using a can of bed liner to paint them with to give them that matte look. What do you guys think?

I want to paint them because I seen a pair and I can’t remember the brand that were matte black but were $80-100 if I recall.
