I have left the glad running for hours because I get out quickly and there is no key to pull. I am requesting advice to purchase the best bang-for-the-buck exhaust performance system. I have a 3.6 engine. I want a mellow sound, louder than the stock sound, with no drone. The build is for any 4-wheeling adventure but no rock crawling. I am considering the Borla touring, p/n 14808: The single-pipe Injen or the Magnaflow duel exhaust. I am open to suggestions and opinions from the experienced experts. I would also consider modifying the stock system (smaller muffler etc.) Budget $1,000 or less. Thanks

Replace stock muffler for straight pipe. Leave the two resonators. Cheap and just the right amount of burble.

Could you post a video with the sound of the straight pipe option? I do not want drone at any time. Will this pass the emissions test required in Maryland?

If you decide to get rid of your stock exhaust, please hit me up. Damaged some parts in the last rock crawling adventure. Thanks

I have the magnaflow dual exhaust and hate it. Loud, drones, installer had to do some welding to get it to look good. Going to see if I can get a more reasonable muffler installed and leave the dual pipes on.

I doubt you’ll get any performance gains with any exhaust. Especially with exhaust alone. Just really doesn’t happen that much anymore.

And my personal opinion, if you actually do go, off-road, don’t put some exhaust on it. Keep it quiet, less annoyance to the animals and the outdoors.

First one is getting on it with windows up, second is startup. I really don't notice it going down the road at regular speeds.

Perfect! Thanks for the advice on the straight pipe option. The sound you demonstrated is exactly what I am looking for. I will get to work on this mod immediately.
