Best Roof Top Tent for the buck?

No way in heck I am paying 850.00 for a truck rack. That is easily built . And they sell those things on EBAY For much less than that . So for the guys who would not dare to built one themselves. I would look elsewhere.

I personally wouldn't either, but the poster @spatters has a specific roll-back tonneau cover that they need the rack to fit around.

Am I right in thinking that the Sirius II is too long for a half-rack and would require a full-height rack so that the RTT base could span the bed and roof?

You could probably get away with a half-rack if you are okay with some overhang. Might look a little funny but you could space out the supports and make it work.

Greetings JT4JT,
I have been following this thread and had a question similar to LameNames. I also have the half rack and am strongly considering this RTT. I'm thinking no more than two adult size occupants. I have a few questions. If i were to purchase the one size smaller tent (NATURNEST Sirius 3 Premium 2xl) this tent should fit with just a small overhang at cab height? Do you see any issues with this set up? Do these tents come with all the mounting hardware needed to complete the installation to the rack? What was the average shipping time?
