I recently bought a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 to use as a beater truck. The price and condition was right, and part of me really wanted to own one of the earlier small block 360s. Interior condition is great. Exterior is decent (see pics). No body rust, but the PO had the entire truck repainted some years ago and by the condition now im assuming it was a cheaper job.
So seeing the picture, what do y’all think is the best way to seal/protect where the paint is missing? Not sure if I should sand it down and just spray paint/clear coat it vs let it be. It’s been missing paint for the past months/year according to the PO. My goal is to prevent body rust so it’ll last and I don’t really care what it looks like - hoping to do this for the lowest price possible as it is a beater.
Suggestions?
