Yeah, LM told me the earliest they could get it in to look at it was mid-February. Dennis Dillon set me up for Wednesday.
Still might be mid-February before they actually look at it.

Farmington has been great. If they can't complete the warranty/recall the day it's scheduled to be repaired, then they will provide a rental and/or loaner. They gave us a brand-new Ram 2500 Cummins to drive for about 30 days due to a backordered part, then they got us a Charger to drive from Enterprise the second time. They told me that Stellantis will only reimburse them for rentals if it's a FCA product. In other words, they won't reimburse the dealer if Enterprise only has Ford, GM, Toyota, etc. It has to be a Dodge, Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep vehicle.
There was a tech there named Donald in 2015-2016 who without his help I believe I never would have had my tranny replaced. The service advisor told me that I just don't understand transmissions when I made an appointment to bring it because it was making a very lould noise when shifting between 4th and 5th gear. Took months of complaining before they agreed to let him go on a ride along with me.

I think anyone worth their salt there ends up going somewhere else. If they treat their techs like they treat their customers, I can see why someone would leave.

I bought my JT in Pheonix because they had a deal that was offering me almost 10k off of MSRP. I went to LHM and showed them the offer and asked if they could at least come close to matching it. They said they could take 4k off of MSRP and was told by their head salesperson I was "stupid to drive 6 hours away to buy a car to save $6k." Exact words.

Did you tell the service manager about this person?
I did not. I told my original service advisor (who I liked) about my experience with her, and he acknowledged that she was a pain to work with, but he also acknowledged that they required all EcoDiesel users to go through her. The EcoDiesel Settlement came with the AEM warranty and was somewhat convoluted, so they wanted one person to handle it. In my opinion, they chose the wrong person.

Instead, I went to Advantage Dodge from that point on. Due to the contracts that Advantage Dodge had with the oil/gas fields, I knew they had several diesel techs. The last I checked, they have seven fulltime diesel techs, and two are trained on the EcoDiesel.

This is especially true since COVID. There are so many good paying jobs/opportunities for diesel techs, that I think a lot of them transition out of the dealerships and work elsewhere.

I bought my JT in Pheonix because they had a deal that was offering me almost 10k off of MSRP. I went to LHM and showed them the offer and asked if they could at least come close to matching it. Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. We went to Arizona to buy the 2023 Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel for $14,000 off MSRP. We bought the 2020 Ram EcoDiesel in Utah for $12,000 off MSRP. We bought the 2015 Ram EcoDiesel for $10,000 off MSRP from the dealer in Gallup, NM, but they no longer exist, which is why I'm now going to Farmington. Unless something changes, New Mexico is not the place to buy a new vehicle.
