Hey guys, hope everyone’s well. I got my gladiator in October, brand spankin new. Been driving for about 5 months now and got 5k on it. I have a clunking in the rear end, sounds like rear left. I don’t think it’s gears or driveshaft because it’s bump related, not speed related. It has just a level kit in the front, nothing in the rear so the level shouldn’t be making the noise at all or have any effect on it. Haven’t had the problem up until 5k miles. Does anyone have any clue what it could be? I know people say Jeep didn’t torque everything to spec and the dealer did that today but still the sound continues. Here’s the weird part. If the truck sits, it doesn’t make the sound until you drive over bumps for about 10-15 mins. I can recreate the sound by jumping up and down on the back bumper, it gets loud when you do that, but if it sits for a few hours it doesn’t do it anymore until you do that again… could it be dry control arm/sway bar bushings? Any help would be appreciated because the dealer doesn’t know what it is!

Take a look at your rear swaybar links where they meet the frame at the top. That flimsy welded attachment point can crack right under the bolt. This picture only shows the bottom but just incase you don't know exactly what the links are, mine are silver. I can get you a picture of the top tomorrow morning and point out the exact location suseptible to cracking.
