I have a 2021 Sport, Manual shift with Rubicon wheels/tires. Drove over a speed bump I've driven over without issue 100's of times at very low speed and today the two outer panels of the hardtop rear glass shattered as I went over it, but not the sliding center glass. Is this a known problem and do I really have to replace the whole damn hardtop now?
Sounds familiar - When new, my rear window was creaking and developed a leak. First time I took it off discovered everything was gorilla-tight like someone took an impact wrench to the thing! Sealed the window by filling the gap with silicone and put it back on with bolts just a 1/2 turn past finger tight and all is good now. Check those bolts, and check them once a month (they come loose too).

I've been riding around with only four bolts in my top for almost three years now.?

On another note, I replaced my back glass with a breezer single removable window about a year ago. Around $500 for the window and shop charged $90 for the install.
Do you mind sharing a link to the removable window that you have?

Sure.

You can get the surround in either transparent (Looks like factory) or textured like I have to match the top. There is a tray at the bottom with four clips at top (inside) to keep it in. The rubber seal is very thick. So, if the shop does a good job with the install, it won't leak.

Here is a pic of me putting my top back on today. You can see what it looks like with the window removed.

And BTW, I only put four bolts back in the top. I don't even know where the other ones are now.???
