Take it for what it’s worth but I just got done texting with a salesman I’ve been talking to from one of the larger dealers in the area. I asked him if he had any idea how late “Late Availability” meant. He told me usually it meant about th middle of the model year - probably looking November time frame.

If true, it really sucks for me because the colors I’m really interested in are all “Late Availability”.

Being the fly fisher, you surely have acquired the skill of "patience" - think of delicately setting the #18/20 Trico a couple feet from the bank with the overhanging tree . . . wanting to convince that 20+" Brown sipping on them to take your offering ! THAT is patience . . . not to set the hook early ! Just enjoy the Tundra another month or 2, or 3, or . . . ?
Todays rumor as I read on a Comment via TFL truck's latest (today) video on a new RAM 1-ton (~2022). That's another story, but the Comment was indicating Yet ANOTHER DELAY in JT Launch - Late Summer ? IF that is true, we probably won't get our test drives in till FALL for the dealerships that get the 1st batch - all in black, white and perhaps gray ?
I'm numb to it all at this point ! Once a week, instead of everyday, I'll check things out . If this comment I read IS true and is newer than the current known setback, then, obviously some changes are needed, some mistakes have been discovered ! ? Like perhaps the one about the Bed Gas-Fill running into the Bed . . . mentioned in another thread here ! Or maybe they will make the rear window (hardtop) removable -like with the side windows of the JL, that I suggested a few days ago ? ? ? Could be anything ! I HOPE it is not about Problems with the V6 being "upgraded" with eTorque ! Don't think we'll ever know unless it is obvious to the eye, unless it's Leaked ! We shall all see what we shall see !

Thanks for the info Lou. And of course you’re right. My issue is that I want to maximize the trade in value of my Tundra. I have a lot of plans for this summer. It’s my first year retired and was hoping to have it turned in and driving the Gladiator by the time the Hatches really get into full swing. That’s why I’m feeling impatient.

I’m trying to keep the mileage and wear and tear down on my present ride as much as possible. . .

I won't be too far from Las Cruces -well, as the Crow flies, this Summer, on MY newest Bucket List Fly Trip .
SW Montana, Dillon area - for 34 days, maybe more if I hit up another area, not on the plan as yet ! PM me if your plans overlap mine . . . perhaps we could meet up and share some quality water time ?

Part of last years trip to SW Montana - My WK2 / StealthCraft 14ft. boat.
I'm always open to share my experiences in Fly Fishing and time on the water . . . been at it a very long time !
That in no way is a "self promotion," I'm quite the humble person and Always Eager to Learn new things, of which there are many ! ;) !

Mine are still in the preliminary planning stage. I have to coordinate them with a motorcycle road trip with some buddies in midsummer. If our paths should intersect I’d love to share some water with you! :):fist bump:

Same here, I want the hydro blue which is late availability. I just see it as an opportunity to save more for the down payment. 11k and counting, I had 12k couple months ago until I had to fix my current rig.
What I'm not happy about is that the Gladiator doesn't have my favorite wrangler color Mojito green :crying:.

Lol ..deep breaths.. we are, all of us, in this miserable rathole together. And each of us would be out and gone doing our thang if we had a JT. And I don't want to believe what you said about midsummer!

Most of the dealers are talking out of there biscuit holes.

Ask him about pricing he will say $3,000 markup on the sport JT and $7,000 on the Rubi:punch::LOL:

I hope Idaho dealers don't mark it up.

By the time we're able to "touch" one at our local dealership . . . ? . . . they'll have a color called 'Martian Red' or 'Red Moon Rising' ! On the other hand, there are SO MANY unique colors in NATURE - just get out there and explore, your eyes will be amazed . 1st time I did it, on purpose (accidentally noticing) was on 2 occasions - gathering plants, and gathering insects; both for different college classes requirements . Amazing !

Motorcycle ! Didn't see that with the Tundra . . . ! That gonna restrict what you carry . Don't forget a fly set-up ! If I see someone pull up to my rig/boat I'll take as being you . Heck it's only 1200 miles and 18 hours of driving, ha ! A short 2 day trip = 48hrs - 18 = 30hrs to eat, sleep, shit, and dream ! Plenty of time . ;)
