I had the Teraflex Forged S/T rear sway bar kit on on my JTR and loved it. It’s a bit more expensive than the braces but since it relocates the bar to the frame and the brackets to the axle it removes the low hang up point and the weak link mounts are taken out of the equation.

Has anyone seen a failure of this bracket with a stock sway bar link installed? I have not.

Mine are staying together just fine (I machined my own sleeves after noting a couple of failures on client trucks) with extra wheel travel and the 25% time I spent off road. This leads me to believe that it's the bushing sleeve design the aftermarket is using. Note the thickness of the OE bushing sleeve, then look at your Evo, Tera, MC, RE, etc......

ALL of the aftermarket ones I have seen are a very thin sleeve and a rolled design that leave the bolt/insert to handle the loads where the OE design has a thick sleeve that allows the bolt to pinch the sleeve to the frame tab.

The MC reinforcement bracket fixes the issue no doubt, but would it even be required if the aftermarket stuff was engineered properly? This could be a case where people are blaming the OE's weak design when it's actually the aftermarket part that caused the failure?
